People come to my neck of the woods from all over the island to go pumpkin and apple picking. It’s great to see so many people enjoying harvest time. That said, I chose to avoid traffic today and headed to the beach with Maya. We had it all to ourselves!
We participated in a Christmas in July swap organized by Sprinkles. Well, Chloe and Maya’s package from Prissy and Mona in the mail today and it made them SO happy – their tails are still wagging! Take a look at all of the wonderful treats they got. Thank you so much, Prissy and Mona!
Thanks to Finn and Charley’s mom for telling us about the swap. Looking forward to next year!
Here’s a single ingredient, super healthy treat my dogs love:
-Quarter two medium sweet potatoes
-Slice the potatoes thinly by hand or with a food processor
-Place sliced potatoes on lined dehydrator sheets in a single layer
-Dehydrate at 125 degrees for about five hours
-Store in an airtight container
The community beach stairs near my house are just about finished, so we decided to take the dogs for an early evening stroll on the beach. They loved it. Maya followed a bird into the water and surprised us with an unexpected swim. A fearless pup!

Going for a quick swim

Off leash fun!
The way back home. 145 stairs and more to come. Quite a workout!
